Photos: Strikeforce champ Gilbert Melendez's first pitch at Padres-Reds game

Following his first-round destruction of Tatsuya Kawajiri at this past weekend's "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" event, Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez earned ceremonial first-pitch honors at Monday's San Diego Padres game.

Melendez tossed his pitch at PETCO Park in San Diego prior to a game with the Cincinnati Reds.
